FADE IN:
EXT. PARK-DAY
1 LONG SHOT
Establishing shot of a bench. A man walks into frame from the
left and sits down at the bench. He has a book.
2 MEDIUM SHOT - FROM PROFILE
The man begins to read his book. The camera dollies from left to
right on an angle until it gets behind him. He looks up and
notices a woman across the walk unfolding a blanket in the shade
provided beneath a large tree. She is unaware he is watching her.
3 FULL VIEW OF THE WOMAN
She finishes spreading out the blanket and sits down. She begins
to take her things out of her bag.
MAN (v.o.)
Look at her. That's the woman I'm
going to marry. I...I wonder what
her name is?
4 MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF MAN
He has a puzzled look of wonder on his face.
5 MEDIUM VIEW OF WOMAN
She is now reading a book and perhaps eating some fruit.
MAN (v.o.)
I wonder what it would be like to
be with her...
6 MEDIUM VIEW OF MAN
MAN (v.o.)
(he continues)
To spend the rest of my life...
He notices something and looks up. His eyes get wide.
7 FULL VIEW OF WOMEN
She walks toward him.
8 OVER HER SHOULDER
Man sits nervously at the bench.
9 FROM HER P.O.V.
The camera dollies in as she draws closer. He begins to stand.
10 DIFFERENT ANGLE - MEDIUM SHOT
He stands up. She walks into frame and raises her hand to touch
his face.
11 CLOSE UP
She puts her hand to his face.
12 MEDIUM CLOSE UP
Man is seated on the bench. He snapes out of his fantasy.
13 VIEW FROM BEHIND WOMAN - LONG SHOT
He takes a look at her and sees that she is watching him.
He quickly begins to read again.
14 MEDIUM SHOT OF WOMAN
She smiles and shakes her head.
WOMAN (v.o.)
I wonder what he was thinking about?
She begins to read again, then looks back up at him.
15 FROM HER P.O.V.
He is reading his book.
16 MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF WOMAN FROM BEHIND - POGOCAM
The camera begins to move left behind her and around almost to
her front. She is still looking at him.
WOMAN (v.o.)
He's kind of cute. (happily suprised) He just
looked at me.
A little embarassed, she smiles, and begins to read her book again.
She touhes her hair to make sure it looks good.
17 MEDIUM SHOT OF MAN
He realizes that she saw him looking at her, he goes back to
reading his book.
MAN (v.o.)
Maybe I should go talk to her?
18 MEDIUM SHOT OF WOMAN
WOMAN (v.o.)
Why doesn't he come talk to me?
19 MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF MAN
MAN (v.o.)
She probably has a boyfriend or something.
20 MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF WOMAN
WOMAN (v.o.)
I could go talk to him...?!
21 MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF MAN
MAN (v.o.)
Why doesn't she come talk to me?
22 CLOSE UP OF WOMAN
WOMAN (v.o.)
No. I couldn't do that. What would
he think? I'll wait for him to come
to me.
23 CLOSE UP OF MAN
MAN (v.o.)
I'm going to do it. Sieze the day.
He stands up.
24 MEDIUM SHOT OF MAN - DIFFERENT ANGLE
Man has his book in hand.
MAN (v.o.)
I'm going to go talk to her. What's
the worst that could happen? She
could laugh. So what.
25 MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF WOMAN
WOMAN (v.o.)
(Happily) I think he's coming to talk
to me.
26 MEDIUM LONG SHOT OF MAN
As the man is walking to the woman a bicyclist rides in front of
him. He drops his book. He bends down to pick up his book.
MAN (v.o.)
What should I say to her?
He looks at his watch and stands back up.
MAN (v.o.)
Look at the time. I...I've got to
get back to work. Tomorrow, I'll
talk with her tomorrow.
He takes a last look at her and walks off to his right.
27 OVER HER SHOULDER
Man walks away.
WOMAN (v.o.)
Where's he going? I thought he was
coming to talk to me.
28 MEDIUM SHOT OF WOMAN - LEFT SIDE OF FRAME
The camera slowly dollies left. She is sad. Her eyes look down
and then off to the right.
WOMAN (v.o.)
Maybe he'll be back tomorrow...
